Introduction:
In the year 2007, after completing the formalities of H.P. Govt., Department of Higher Education and H.P. University, Shimla. Abhilashi Institute of Sciences came into existence as a unit of Abhilashi Educational Society with aim to build future leaders in various disciplines of science and Technology. The institute was initially started with B. Sc. (Hon’s) Biotechnology and later M.Sc. Biotechnology, M.Sc. Microbiology and B. Sc. (Hon’s) Microbiology were added in the academic session 2008- 2009. M.Sc. Chemistry, M.Sc. Botany and M.Sc. Physics were also added in the academic session 2010-2011. Location of the Institute is set up in serene and scenic environment of Himachal Pradesh and surrounded by lush greenery. At present, M.Sc .Botany and M.sc .Chemistry got affiliated to Sardar Patel University, Mandi (H.P)recognized by UGC,New Delhi. Abhilashi P.G. Institute of Sciences is located at Ner Chowk (NH-21), Distt. Mandi, Himachal Pradesh and is well connected with transport facility from various parts of the state throughout the day. The campus is surrounded with green trees and fields which gives panoramic view. This particular location of the institute gives it a pleasant feeling of development and commitment of the society to uplift the rural area and brings it at par with the towns in providing quality education.
